Star Wars: Episode VII Script is Ready

Luke, Leia and HanShooting on Star Wars: Episode VII begins in May.  The script, written by J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan, is now ready, and pre-production is in full-swing. “We’re working really hard and we’ve got our script and we’re in deep prep. Full steam ahead, y’know.”

They are taking to many actors to flesh out the cast of the film.  While no official announcements have been made, Carrie Fisher has all but confirmed that she’ll be prepping to film in March or April, alongside Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford.

“I’d like to wear my old [cinnamon buns] hairstyle again — but with white hair,” she says. “I think that would be funny.”

As the movie gets closer to production, the idea of a new Star Wars is actually beginning to sink in.  Though I don’t think it’ll feel real to me until the first teaser is released for it.

  1. I love these comments by JJ finally we hear something that has some validity when it comes to starwars episode seven. The interesting thing to me is going to be when the production is an over swing how is JJ going to keep everything in-house, is he going to be able to keep a shroud of secrecy over the project like he’s known to do with his various other projects most notably Cloverfield.

    • Indeed. He’s always been able to keep things fairly secretive. I have hope that people won’t spoil his wishes in the name of traffic to their websites. I don’t plan on posting spoiler like materials on this site, unless they’re released by the studio for publicity purposes. For example: casting announcements, trailers, posters, screenshots, behind the scenes photos, etc.

That said, I wish that there was a way to keep all of the big secrets, at the very least, from being revealed. If there are any Empire Strikes Back level surprises, I want those preserved.
