In March 2025, Max released the first teaser for Duster and confirmed that the series would premiere on May 15. After years of development, that was the story fans had been waiting for.

The teaser gave the first real feel for the show’s 1970s crime tone and for the dynamic between Josh Holloway’s driver and Rachel Hilson’s FBI agent. It also made the Abrams and Holloway reunion feel real instead of theoretical.

There was a fuller official trailer later, but this was the update that put Duster firmly on the calendar and turned it into an actual upcoming series instead of a long-running development headline.
